On the same day that we explore Bhaktapur (https://en.orbhike.net/nepal-bhaktapur/), after 1:00 PM, we board a bus that takes us to Patan. The historic part of the city is much smaller than Bhaktapur. It’s enough to spend 1-1.5 hours to calmly familiarize yourself with all the attractions of the old town. The entrance fee is 1,000 rupees and covers only the main square. Beyond the square, exploration is free. Patan does not charm as much as Bhaktapur, but it’s worth a visit when you are in Kathmandu. We returned from Patan to Kathmandu (https://en.orbhike.net/nepal-kathmandu/) by taxi for 500 rupees.
