We left El Nido by ferry. Ticket to Coron costs 2,800 pesos. Due to the limited number of tickets and the large demand, a ferry ticket should be purchased at least a few days in advance. The tickets may be not available 1 or 2 days before departure. It is half a day to travel from El Nido to Coron by ferry. We found accommodation at the Harbor Bliss Hotel in Coron. A double room with bathroom, hot water, air conditioning and a large breakfast cost 2,000 pesos. The hotel was run by a couple in their 60’s.
Lobster restaurant is recommended to have dinner. The restaurant’s specialty is lobser. It cost 2500 pesos per kilo. Medium one cost 1,100 pesos. I recommend the boiled lobster with garlic butter. It is more delicious than the grilled one. Fish and sea-food are offered in the restaurant as well. The prices are reasonable.

We had to spend a few hours to complete organization issues. We bought a package of three dives for $100 and Island hopping for 1800 pesos per person. Kayak was included in the price. When we completed the issues we wanted to relax on the beach. Unfortunately there is only harbor in the town. Local people recommended the Cobo beach located 10 km from Coron. We rented a motorcycle and went to the beach. The beach is paid 50 pesos. To be honest, the beach is very, very average.

The next day we went diving. It was very well organized. The Dive Master was very professional, and my buddy was young man from Germany. Neither he or I had advanced diving experience. I had no diving equipment and I had to rent it. I couldn’t pick up any diving suit. All sizes including xxl were way too small for me. Fortunately, the sea water was warm and I was able to dive without any discomfort in a t-shirt. We dived at three different sites. The first and third dives were very average. I saw hardly any coral reef, and the sea creatures did not impress me. The second dive was much more interesting. The coral reef was cool, but not as awesome as the Egypt one. During the underwater trek I saw interesting sea creatures of different shapes and colors. Overall the day was very good and I hope to continue my diving adventure in the near future.

These are the attractions of Island hopping in the Coron:
- Twin Lagoon
- Baracuda Lake
- Kayangan Lake
- Atwayan beach
- Skeleton Wrack
- Cyc Beach

Island hopping in Coran was more diverse than the El Nido one. We visited not only picturesque islands with micro beaches but beautiful lagoons, lakes with partly fresh and salt water as well. All the attractions were surrounded by a beautiful scenery. Island hopping is very popular and we had to visit the sites with crowds of other tourists. This is the disadvantage of island hopping in Coran and El Nido.
