  • e-travel or Philippine Covid 19 passport. In 2023, they every tourist is obliged to have e-travel. Border guards check it at international airports. Foreigners must apply for it online before traveling to the Philippines. Vaccinations for Covid 19 are required to get the e-travel. One vaccination of Astra Zeneca and two ones of Moderna or Pfizer vaccinations are ok to get the e-travel. There is no need to get a booster. How long e-travel will be necessary to go to the Philippines is hard to say. When we left international airport in Cebu, nobody wanted us to show e-travel in Philippines.
  • Accommodation in the Philippines is middle prices. A double room with bathroom costs from about 1,000 pesos to 2,500 pesos. The price mainly depends on air conditioning. Rooms with air conditioning cost about 2,000 pesos and even 2,500 pesos. Room without air conditioning, only with a fan, cost up to 1500 pesos.
  • Mango – be sure to eat this fruit in the Philippines. The fruit is delicious and has a reputation of the best in the world. A kilogram of mango costs about 200 pesos.
  • Laundry service is available in every touristic town or even village. 1 kg costs between 40 and 60 pesos.
  • Body massage – 1 hour-long full-body massage costs $10-$15. This is great to take a massage to relax before or after long flights.
  • Stay away from the big cities in the Philippines. They are loudly, dirty, crowded, full of cars and motorbikes and have no spaces for pedestrians.
